  • Content of this tool

This tool gives you knowledge and strategies to understand, challenge, and gradually reduce social anxiety. It consists of six parts:

    1. Intro

You learn what social anxiety is, how cognitive therapy can help, and how to get started with practical exercises.

    2. Social Anxiety

You explore why social anxiety develops, how it feels for you, and how it can be treated. You also identify your own safety strategies that keep the problem going.

    3. Cognitive Therapy

You practice using the ABC model, thought organization, and the cognitive diamond to understand the link between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. You also learn to recognize and challenge thought traps.

    4. Planning

You take the first steps in exposure therapy, building an exposure hierarchy and preparing for structured practice.

    5. Exposure

You carry out exposure exercises step by step, follow your plan, and learn how to stay motivated even when anxiety feels overwhelming.

    6. Moving Forward

You reflect on what you have learned, prepare for setbacks, and create a plan to maintain progress and build long-term resilience.
